As the marketing manager, one of my first jobs was to create a logo for our company, to give us an identity and identify our style.
I spent a lot of time looking through different fonts, creating designs and discussing them with Sam and Holly and our designer, Andy Farenden. We knew that we wanted a logo that had the colour scheme black, white and red, something that was simple and effective, and that wouldn’t overpower our marketing material as a whole.
This first image is a collection of the designs I made – they are all very different in style, with the first couple being very bold and cartoon-esque, and the last one being much more toned down and simple.
The second image is a collection of Andy’s designs, which follow a similar theme in terms of simplicity, and the colour scheme. We actually ended up choosing the image on the far top right of these, because we loved the font, and the boldness of the design around the text. I feel that it encompasses everything we want to say about False Title – we make theatre which doesn’t try to say anything other than the message we are trying to convey, through innovative and exciting mediums which will change the way you think about performance as an event.
